As WAYK prepares to depart for St. Paul Island and the beginning of the 2015 Summer Intensive, the team will be in Anchorage! We'll be visiting with friends and players of WAYK in the area. If you are interested in WAYK and live in or around Anchorage, let us know!
Following our APIA workshop, the team will be in Anchorage! We'll be visiting with WAYK players in the area as well as stopping by the Alaska Federation of Natives Annual Convention (October 15-17). If you are interested in WAYK and live in or around Anchorage, let us know!
On our return trip from Port Graham, the team will be stopping in Seldovia. We'll be visiting with community members who are interested in learning more about WAYK. If you are interested in joining and live in or around Seldovia, let us know!
Where Are Your Keys? returns to St. Paul Island for the month of March in partnership with the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association and the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island. The WAYK team will visit with the Alutiiq language team in Koidak, Alaska and attend the Alutiiq Language Summit on November 17th and 18th, and the Alutiiq Nation Festival on November 18th.
The WAYK team travels to Tsleil-Waututh Nation in North Vancouver, BC for 7 weeks to partner with the TWN language department in their work with the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language.
The WAYK team will visit with the Alutiiq language team in Kodiak, Alaska to support them in the first year of their ANA Native Language Community Coordination Project.
