A Gathering of Language at ƛaʔuukwiʔatḥ

The WAYK team will be traveling to A Gathering of Language hosted at ƛaʔuukwiʔatḥ in April 2024.

A Gathering of Language is an opportunity for language learners from many different Nuu-chah-nulth Nations to come together. The language program at Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation is organizing this gathering. The WAYK team will give a short presentation at the gathering to talk about the methodology and how it has benefited programs in the region. Members of the c̓išaaʔatḥ Adult Intensive program will also be at the gathering to present about their immersion program and how they utilize WAYK.

We are grateful for the invitation to this gathering. We are excited to share about WAYK and to hear more about the language happening in all of the Nuu-chah-nulth Nations.
