X̱aad Kíl Née Fall 2025 Visit

The WAYK team returns to Masset for a three-week visit in November 2025. This is our second visit since X̱aad Kíl Née launched the first cohort of their full-time adult immersion program in September. This program runs in partnership with Simon Fraser University’s Indigenous Languages Program. X̱aad Kíl Née’s current project is a continuation of ongoing efforts to create and support emerging speakers of X̱aad Kíl. The full-time program  focuses on proficiency development through language immersion.

The WAYK team will continue to work with the core team, visiting learners and speakers, and the current cohort of learners. Our goal is to provide additional training and support for all participants, support existing activities and develop new lessons.
