Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ April 2024 Visit

The WAYK team will travel to hitac̓u for a three-day visit in April of 2024. The language team at Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ First Nation has been working since earlier in 2024 to develop and pilot a part-time adult immersion program in nuučaan̓uł for their citizens. The YFN team has been collaborating closely with the team at c̓išaaʔatḥ Fist Nation over the past several years in an effort to model their new program on the Adult Intensive Program that is now in its 3rd year at c̓išaaʔatḥ.
The WAYK team is excited to work with the YFN team on setting up materials for their language space, practicing activities designed to advance their own fluency, and preparing for the launch their pilot program!
