Phoenix, Arizona WAYK returns to Arizona for a 3 day workshop with district wide head start staff training forcusing on the Pima and Pi-Posh languages. This will be a technique driven training for Head Start teachers and students. This workshop was organized by the American Indian Language Development Institute (AILDI).
Bishop, CA One day will be spent on curriculum design consultation with Qwina West and one day on a community workshop and designing "The Walk".

Brooklyn, NY The New York State Association of Independent Schools brings WAYK for an introductory workshop for world language teachers. The training will include an introduction to techniques for student directed learning, a discussion of the ACTFL proficiency levels, and creating young teachers.

WAYK meets with the language team working on Mountain Maidu (Majdy, Tosajdom) at Susanville Rancheria to present a workshop and practice key WAYK language learning and teaching strategies. Language advocates from neighboring communities (including Greenville Rancheria, Pitt River, and Wašiw) will also attend.
